The YMCA of Hannibal is expanding and renovating its facilities to
provide new and additional program space as well as improvements to the
parking lot. The projected costs to construct new space, renovating
existing areas, provide new equipment and furnishings are $2 million.
The current building will be enlarged as shown on the site plan
below.
Coon's Family Teen/Senior Center
Located in front of building.
Space for seniors in the morning - Teens after school.
Will have a variety of games such as video games, pool tables,
pingpong tables, shuffleboards, foosball and table and computer training
area.
BOLAND FAMILY WELLNESS CENTER
Located in the rear of the building.
16 pieces of Cybex VR3 and Eagle line selecterize pin loaded weights designed to work a particular muscle group and area.
31 pieces of cardio-vascular exercise equipment: 6 - Recumbent Bikes, 6 - Upright Bikes, 10 - Treadmills, 6 - Elliptical, 3 - Arc Trainers.
A variety of light free weights ranging from dumbbells to light curl bars as well as 4 separate modular stations.
An elevated three lane elevated running/walking track which is approximately 1/22 of a mile.
During the daytime and peak evening hours the Y has Wellness Attendants that are there for your assistance, machine orientations and monitoring of the room.
Renovations
New administrative center and member reception center in renovated lobby.
New Toddler Care Center adjacent to current nursery.
Parking
Lower parking lot filled in.
Existing parking area expanded by 60 spaces.
Provides more convenient access and eliminates steps.
