The YMCA of Hannibal is THE place for children and sports! At the Y, our sports programs keep kids active, teach friendly competition and introduce healthy practices for life
YMCA Youth Sports are unique because each child must play a specified amount of time during each game. No standings are kept. Each child receives a participation award at the end of each program. YMCA youth sports are based on participation, skill development, teamwork, family involvement, volunteer leadership and most of all, having fun.
All participants recite this sports pledge at the beginning of each game:

Flag Football is a recreational program designed to teach the fundamentals of flag football, sportsmanship, and team work in a fun environment.

Y Cheerleaders will build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships with other peers. Learn the fundamentals of cheerleading including basic motions, jumps, cheers, and chants.

YMCA Soccer helps kids become not only better soccer players but better people as well. The YMCA soccer program is a progressive program, with multiple age-specific levels. Players are taught basic game skills such as passing, receiving, shooting, footwork, and dribbling.
